LAKE HOUSE

This guesthouse is intended to face the magnificent view of Lake Byron, a water reserve in Bedford Hills. The design maximizes the relationship of the house with the surrounding woods; we used natural materials such as stone and wood and topped the roof with aged copper, which blends with the forest’s greenery. The double loaded ground level consists of an open floor plan, glazed from all sides, in spatial continuity with the outdoors and pool. With no visibility from other homes, privacy is not an issue. The single loaded upper floor allows for all 4 master bedrooms to embrace the view as they dematerialize with the exterior.
